Our Story

After a number of years in the industry, working for a highly regarded local joinery firm, James decided it was time he went it alone and started his own business. Starting small, James had a micro workshop in Gargrave, but soon graduated into a larger unit. After a number of years, together with his wife Emily, they have grown the team, expanding into the workshop just outside Skipton that they are in today. They are a well respected FENSA registered business, along with being members of the British Woodworking Federation. Proud to be Approved Accoya manufacturers.

Along with growing the business, James & Emily’s family has also increased in size to include two daughters, Amelia and Arabella.

Our Mission

To provide high quality bespoke joinery, using traditional methods together with modern machinery, to Skipton and the surrounding areas. Specialising in the manufacture of timber doors, windows and staircases, together with the exclusive range of bespoke fitted furniture and Kitchen ranges.

At James Wilding Joinery we are not only committed to producing high quality joinery, supplying both the public and trade, but also investing in the next generation of joiners as we work closely with Craven College and have taken on a number of apprentices.
