James Wilding Joinery designs, manufactures and installs bespoke timber windows, doors, staircases and interior joinery from our workshop in Rylstone, near Skipton, in the Yorkshire Dales. Working with homeowners, architects, builders and trade professionals, we create individually made joinery for traditional, heritage and contemporary properties throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire and surrounding areas.
Our work takes us across Skipton, Ilkley, Harrogate, York, Ripon and Settle, the towns and villages of the Yorkshire Dales, Wharfedale, Nidderdale, Wensleydale and Craven, as well as the Ribble Valley and South Lakes. Bespoke Timber Doors
Handcrafted timber doors can be designed around the character and architecture of the property, from traditional and heritage entrances to cleaner contemporary designs.
Our made-to-order range includes external entrance doors, stable doors, French doors, bi-fold doors and internal timber doors, with timber, glazing, ironmongery, detailing and factory finishes individually specified.
Bespoke Timber Windows
Our made-to-order timber window range includes sliding sash, flush casement, stormproof casement, mock sash and bespoke heritage windows for traditional, period and contemporary properties.
Proportions, glazing, timber, architectural detailing and finishes can be developed around the property, allowing new windows to respond carefully to both its character and practical requirements.
Bespoke Timber Staircases
From traditional oak staircases for period properties and barn conversions to cleaner contemporary designs, each staircase is developed around the architecture, proportions and available space.
Made to order in our Yorkshire workshop, our staircases can be supplied for installation by your builder or contractor, or with professional installation by our own team where appropriate.
Trade Joinery Services
We work with architects, builders, contractors and other trade professionals throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria and surrounding areas, manufacturing bespoke timber windows, doors, staircases and interior joinery for individual properties and larger building and renovation projects.
Our team can work from architectural drawings, schedules and project specifications, providing bespoke joinery on a supply-only basis or with installation where required.
Bespoke Handmade Kitchens
Our bespoke handmade kitchens are developed around the property, available space and the way the interior will be used, with cabinetry, storage, materials, architectural detailing, hardware and finishes individually considered.

From individual fitted wardrobes to complete dressing rooms and bedroom furniture, each project is designed around the room, available space and individual storage requirements.
Made to measure in our Rylstone workshop, designs can incorporate hanging space, shelving, drawers and internal storage alongside individually selected doors, materials, hardware and finishes.
Bespoke Fitted Furniture
Made-to-measure furniture allows cabinetry and storage to be developed specifically around the proportions, architecture and practical requirements of an interior.
Our work includes alcove cabinets, bookcases, media units, bespoke dressers, understairs storage, home offices, boot rooms, window seats and other individually designed cabinetry.
